woodrowgerber : Faceless Kings (Expedition Overland Soundtrack).
Indie/electronic pop fusion - for daydreams, nights out, and everything in-between.
The creative approach on this record by woodrowgerber can be somewhat comparable to that of how a method actor approaches a film. With 7 months of pre-production followed by sealing himself away in a remote location for 5 months, woodrowgerber worked tirelessly day and night to refine his signature sound layering orchestral instrumentation, flamenco guitars, synthesizers, and soundscapes. His sound of "organic electronic music" doesn't disappoint on Faceless Kings which quickly shot up the underground charts throughout the US and began receiving international airplay.
Labeled a pioneer in changing the sound of electronic music by UK media, this album demonstrates the complex and beautiful relationship between sounds of the past and music of the future that can only be the work of woodrowgerber.
