Massimo DeAngelis: Original jazz fusion with hints of rock, classical and latin music.

Massimo DeAngelis is a self-taught drummer and keyboardist who plays in various styles and genres across the musical spectrum, favoring high-energy jazz fusion. Born and raised in "the Eternal City" of Rome, Italy, he began playing at the age of twelve, and has performed with many groups throughout the country, including "I Percussionisti di Roma", a percussion ensemble. Also, he has taken part in several European jazz festivals throughout his career.

Since emigrating to the United States in 1986, Massimo has been performing and recording with numerous bands. After having taught privately for several years, he has now started focusing his energies on composing, arranging, and recording.

Describing his music and drumming style as "… an attempt to bring the listener's awareness to a higher level… ", he wants his music to fill the many musical voids that exist around us. His writing is a fusion of all his musical experiences and influeces. He draws his inspiration from surrealism, along with a basic, but critical ingredient: improvisation.
