Nathan Mathes : Roselawn.
Melody-driven indie-folk.
Roselawn can best be described as a folk-pop album. Each song on
Roselawn is built around an acoustic guitar, with small electronic and
atmospheric splashes thrown in.
Lyrically, Roselawn is an album about the highs and lows of being in love, about
wanting to be a better person for the one you love, about appreciating the
small, good things in life, and about taking nothing for granted.
Mathes has drawn clear inspiration from his love for his wife and a newly
realized contentment with his life. Roselawn was recorded by Mathes in his
basement studio in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His wife, Jane, provides vocals and
percussion on several tracks.
