in giro: Defiantly homemade pop rock music.

in giro is Catherine Fail DePrince, David Anthony Parker, and Wayne DePrince.

This trio is always on the move, in motion, out and about. They pick up things on their travels, pluck them from limbs, absorb or excavate or simply remember them. And during layovers, they stitch these together and sing. Being in giro means living change. And ever-seeking, the band makes music that ever-seeks. Called to a more radical simplicity, in giro creates what's necessary to help us shed some skin and move on lighter and more free. Walking a line between the bitter and the sweet, in giro yearns to synthesize revolution and surrender; revolution is obvious(!), and so are surrender to beauty and perfecting the challenge.

Music as a struggle for harmony organically reflects this dynamic through its flux and flow and continual change in tempo/key/style/voice. The cycling themes/leitmotifs come from so-called "dram rock", drama-infused indie/alternative rock. Making leaps and breaking free is a dramatic personal endeavor, and what in giro creates serves as propulsion for their adventures out of this world and into a better one.

As points on their trajectory towards freedom, the defiantly homemade music is free/gratis, the tools are free/libre, and in giro work with free/independent artists.

let’s go .... in giro!
