Flurries : My Darling, The Glass Was Always Half Empty.
A fresh, textured fusion of classic meets modern art rock.
The musician writes:
The writing on this album is ambitious and borrows from my classic rock
influences, as well as 80's new wave pop. This fusion of classic rock meets
modern, created a sound that could go alongside The Killers or Franz Ferdinand.
Still, no one I know has been able to give me an accurate sound alike
comparison, which I suppose, is good. The result is an album sounding unique and
modern, but yet familiar and classic at the same time.
I started tracking rough, instrumental demos for this album in 2005. I tracked
casually for two years with producer Stephan Hawkes, as I searched for a singer.
As two years became three, I realized this album would never see the light of
day if I didn't do it myself. After another several months of vocal coaching and
writing the melodies and lyrics, I tracked the vocals myself. Four years, five
studios, six amps and three drum sets later... it was done.
